Merry Christmas 2009

Please accept my best wishes for a happy and successful new year as well.

The following Christmas greeting, that I started sending to friends and family in 2002, has now become:

  • my daily objective;
  • my lifetime motto;
  • a goal that I renew each year.

As I pray for peace in the world, I realize the only answer for real and lasting peace is:

  • that peace within;
  • that it only comes from God;
  • and that it must begin with me.

I am going to continue to try to do my part in stopping bigotry, hatred, and prejudice, by practicing love and tolerance.

I may not be all that I should be, but then I am not what I once was, and with God's help, I am not what I shall become.

Christmas
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Christmas (literally, the Mass of Christ) is a holiday in the Christian calendar, observed on December 25, which celebrates the birth of Jesus. According to the Christian gospels, Jesus was born to Mary in Bethlehem, where she and her husband Joseph had traveled to register in the Roman census. Christians believe that Jesus's birth, or nativity, fulfills the prophecies of Judaism that a messiah would come, from the house of David, to redeem the world from sin and bridge the separation between God and mankind.
