Responsible for managing and supervising systems integration and installation services and field-engineering department of twenty-three engineers and technicians located in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. In charge of the administration of budgets, costs, schedules, salary planning, training programs, coordinating employee recruitment, performance appraisal, career planning, merit distribution, recognition and disciplinary actions.

• Developed requirements, supervised and performed testing, evaluation and customer-certification of PCS wireless devices (CDG, IOP), cellular handsets and keyboard-pagers, PDAs, operating systems, and device and desktop applications before releasing final products for consumer sales.
• Involved in direct interface between high-level engineering and senior business management and customer representatives to monitor progress toward completion of wireless engineering projects.
• Participated in request for proposal activities that resulted in a large number of contracts being awarded to the company.
• Supervised and implemented RF designs for two-way (Voice, Data and SCADA) communication systems and cellular, as well as field-testing (GSM and CDMA) and infrastructure implementation, with telephone trunking calculations and traffic analysis, which improved capacity.

Responsible for telemetry and flight-test instrumentation design, including development of test plans and tests of telemetry data acquisition systems. Responsible for analog and digital design for programmable logic, micro-controllers and state machines. Experienced with antenna test range and anechoic chamber activities.

• Designed, assembled and integrated PCM telemetry equipment and FM/FM ground and airborne instrumentation systems of shoulder-launched missile and for electro optic targeting and navigation pod systems for the F-15 and F-16 combat aircraft.
• Designed and tested flight-termination system in support of the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI).
• Designed, evaluated and selected systems and components for data collection, data processing, interpretation and analysis to verify flight performance parameters during flight tests and operations.
• Traveled to customer locations (Vandenberg and Edwards Air Force Bases) for field support of system installation, integration and test to verify compliance with requirements and specifications.

Responsible for evaluation, design and analysis of weapons telemetry electronic systems for ICBM’s.

• Evaluated hardware on sensors, components and PCM systems, and tested functional performance of missile systems and test equipment.

BOEING COMMERCIAL AIRPLANE COMPANY—Seattle, Washington 1981—1983

Engineer

Responsible for analog and digital circuit card analysis. Also responsible for control and test systems for engine power-generation and distribution, fire detection and protection equipment in commercial aircraft.

• Evaluated, interpreted and simplified electronic circuits for documentation to facilitate use, understanding and maintenance of avionics equipment while writing procedures for aircraft ground maintenance personnel.
